Rick has a combined 30 years of experience in the banking & financial services industry. He also brings decades of leadership and business experience having served in senior positions at both for-profit and non-profit entities. Rick worked with Principal® from 2009 to 2017 as a Financial Representative. He left briefly in 2017 to serve his community as the President & CEO of the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce for two years and returned to Principal.
He served on the Rays 100 committee of the Tampa Bay Rays 2020 and on an advisory committee for Hillsborough County School District Superintendent, Jeff Eakins (2018). Rick was Chairman of the Board for the Campo Family YMCA (2016), a member of the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (2016-2017), Chairman for Leadership Brandon (2017), Co-chair of Leadership Brandon (2016), a member of the Pastoral Advisory Committee for Nativity Catholic Church (2012-2016) and a member of the Diocesan Catholic Committee for Scouting (2012-2017). He also served seven years as Chairman of Boy Scout Troop 89.
Rick holds a B.B.A. in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. He is registered with FINRA and maintains Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations. Additionally, he holds a Life & Health Insurance License.
Rick and his wife, Edie, have been married for 30 years and have two sons. Their eldest, Jake (24), works in the financial services industry. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida's Burnett Honors College and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Jesuit High School, where he played varsity football and captained the Track & Field team. Their younger son, Dylan (21), is currently attending Florida Atlantic University and also graduated from Jesuit. Both sons earned their Black Belts in Mixed Martial Arts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, following in their father's footsteps.
